RICHARD T.KEATING, CFA | PRESIDENT, PORTFOLIO MANAGER, AND INVESTMENT ANALYST

Richard graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a minor in History. In 2011, he was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, the definitive standard for measuring portfolio management and investment analysis competence and integrity. Mr. Keating has held an interest in investing since his childhood and had the pleasure of learning investment philosophies from his father, Jeff, throughout his life.

Richard continues to learn investment techniques from his uncle, Phil, as this knowledge has now been passed down through three generations in the Keating family. Richard joined Keating Investment Counselors, Inc. in 2007 immediately following college after the untimely death of his father, the founder. As a result, Richard was fully immersed in managing portfolios during the global financial crisis of 2008-2009. Richard became owner of Keating Investment Counselors, Inc. in 2018 and assumed the title of President. As president, Richard hopes to carry on the standard established by Jeff which calls for putting client interests first while helping them build and preserve wealth over time.

ANA I. KEATING | OPERATIONS MANAGER AND TREASURER

Ana Keating graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. She went on to obtain a Masters in Business Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In her most recent roles, she worked as a program manager for two Fortune 500 companies: L3Harris Technologies and United Technologies Corporation (Pratt & Whitney). At L3Harris, Ana was internally focused in managing a team in the construction of satellite antennas. As one can imagine, building something for space requires the complete elimination of mistakes through rigorous procedures.

After successfully completing the project under budget, Ana moved to south Florida and took a job with Pratt & Whitney. At P&W, Ana’s job was focused externally on managing client relationships with military contractors. Ana managed jet engine contracts with the U.S. government and the Republic of Korea Air Force, among others. The starkly different program management roles Ana has held has allowed her to develop a diverse set of skills applicable to the servicing of clients at an investment management firm.
